Pixel dust sprinkling #46
Family Game night is one of those things
I used to fantasize about, growing up. My
family didn't do that, I never even learned
the basic card games, so gathering 'round
the table after dinner with my own kids &
my hubby's been a dream of mine two
decades in the making.
Nearly every evening when the supper plates
have been cleared away... this is what we do.
And it beats any TV show, which we can't do
regardless since we waved goodbye to cable.
Ashton delights so much in throwing dice and
moving tokens, takes so much pride in playing
whether winning or losing. I lose myself in his
shrieks of pure laughter and glee... hearing it
sometimes long after he's been tucked into
I can only imagine how much more fun it will be
when there's a second set of lungs to fill the room
up with sweet giggles. For now, Sadie sits on my
lap, wide-eyed at big brother's breathless energy
& deep resounding chuckles.
